Places to Visit in Plérin-sur-Mer
Plérin-sur-Mer boasts a natural and historical heritage that is well worth a visit. The must-see site is the Pointe du Roselier: perched at an altitude of more than 60 meters, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Bay of Saint-Brieuc. On a clear day, you can see as far as the cliffs of Erquy to the east and the Goëlo coast to the west.
Below, discover the remains of an 18th-century cannonball furnace, a testament to the site’s defensive past. As you make your way up the wooded Bachelet Valley from Martin Plage, you’ll come across the Argantel Chapel, nestled at the bottom of the valley and dating back to the 15th century—a gem of Breton rural heritage.
When it comes to seaside charm, the “Rosariennes” villas lining Rosaires Beach reflect the charm of this small town, founded in the early 20th century, which within a few decades became the favorite beach of the people of Saint-Brieuc. For more information, visit the Tourisme Bretagne website.

Pointe du Roselier in Plérin: Discover Rosaires Beach and Martin Plage
Pointe du Roselier consists of two distinct beaches, each with its own character:
Rosaires Beach: This large beach of fine sand stretches for 2 km and features a supervised swimming area throughout the summer. Along the promenade, shops, restaurants, and sunny outdoor seating areas invite you to enjoy a gourmet break. During the season, a kids’ club welcomes the little ones while you relax. The beach is accessible to people with limited mobility (Tiralo and Hippocampe wheelchairs available). In the summer, the TUB shuttle line R connects the beach directly to downtown Saint-Brieuc.
Martin Plage: At the foot of Pointe du Roselier, this small, unspoiled cove of sand and pebbles—sheltered from the wind by the cliffs—charms nature lovers. Ideal for swimming at high tide and shore fishing at low tide, it offers a pristine and authentic setting. At low tide, walk out to the intriguing Rocher Martin, topped with its white cross. Campground 10 km from Plérin
Flower Camping des Vallées is located just 10 km from Plérin, about a 15-minute drive. There are several ways to get to the coast:
- By car: quick access via the expressway, take the “Les Rosaires” exit
- By bus: The TUB line connects Saint-Brieuc to Plérin; in the summer, the R shuttle line runs directly to Les Rosaires Beach from downtown
- By bike: Take the Vélomaritime or the bike paths for a ride through the countryside and along the coast
